Who loves apples!? If you do your going to love my new pattern, the Apple patch Mug Rug. Apple because, well, its an apple and patch because it involves cute scrappy patchwork.

For those of you who don’t know what a mug rug is, its this great little snack mat that’s bigger than a coaster but smaller than a place mat. Just the right size for a cup of tea or coffee or whatever you’re drinking and a little snack on the side.

They make great gifts and not to mention they’re reusable, washable and hand made with love. Perfect for adults and kids too (if you have little kids like me, I’m sure you know all about the endless crumbs).

My apple pattern is perfect for whatever patchwork version you want to use, including EPP (English paper piecing).

You can use a single print too, which is great if your short on time. Just simply quilt and sew it up, it only took me ½ an hour to do this one.

I’m not sure what it is about teachers and apples, but these mug rugs would make the perfect teacher’s gift too.

Since its so close to Christmas, I’ve included a special little printable tag so you can print and include it with your mug rugs to gift. Just visit the FREE Printable section of my site to download the PDF, then Print and enjoy!

You can find there pattern here in my Etsy Store, or visit the Shop section of my blog.
If you’re after some more mug rug patterns, I also have a quilt as you go mug rug pattern, which is FREE in the Tutorial section of my blog.
Happy sewing, Kellie x.
