A Chubby Christmas Stocking

It’s hard to believe it’s Mid December already, and only 10 days until christmas. It’s been a crazy year and I’ve already been late introducing my newest pattern by a few weeks.

I released this sweet little patchwork christmas stocking back at the start of November, when I was full of christmas sewing ideas and inspiration.

I have another pattern I was planning on releasing too, but let’s face it, I don’t think that will happen this year, unless it is some kind of christmas miracle.

So lets just focus on this sweet little christmas stocking, which I am totally in love with, but I could be a bit biased after all.

It’s a chubby little patchwork christmas stocking that finishes at 7” x 9” at its widest and tallest points. It uses simple patchwork squares, so perfect for scraps or fussy cutting. Of course you can use the template to make any design you like. Just like this sweet version I did using 1” hexies.

I love that’s it’s the perfect size to stuff a few treats in and to give it to a friend as a special gift. Just like this gorgeous one I received from a special friend, Kellie over at Sew Mimi K. It was such a special surprise to receive this sweet stocking in the mail. Who could resist all that pink and the sweet kissing bunnies.

These would also be great hanging on the tree, with a gift card and a few chocolates or treats for those that always seem impossible to buy for.
