Ok so here it is! My first ever blog post, it’s been a while coming but there’s no hiding it anymore, I am now officially a blogger!
I’m new to this, and so ill start by telling you a bit about myself. I’m Kellie South, the main face behind Ma & Me Designs. I’m a mum of one and live on a small holding in Kentucky, country NSW. I was born and raised in the country and so I’m a country Girl at heart. I love everything rustic, farmhouse and vintage. So when I’m not thrifting, plodding around our little farm and spending time with my family you’ll find me sewing. Weather it’s using a needle and thread, sitting in front of the sewing machine or something else involving fabric and thread, I’m doing it.
My love of sewing came from my mother ‘Ma’ the other face behind Ma & Me designs. She taught me to sew from a young age and my love of sewing fostered from there. I can still remember the first thing we ever made together. A little felt softie mouse. Ma and I still sew together whenever we can, making a range of different things and occasionally selling them at local markets.
I started this blog because I want to share with you my latest creative projects and original ideas and help you achieve your creative dreams by teaching you skills to start your sewing journey or to build on skills that you already have. Either way I hope to inspire you to pick up a needle and thread and get creating.
