To Market, To Market!

I have plenty of unfinished stuff I’m working on now, but when I was prepping for my up coming market at the Bingara Orange Festival, I felt the need to dive into my novelty scraps for a little patchwork therapy and what could be more perfect than some quilt as you go, patchwork baby bibs.

I love these things! So much fun, combining all the odd shaped scraps that would probably never be used and making something super sweet and useful.

My favourite thing about patchwork bibs it that they are a small project that can be finished in an hour-long sewing session. Or you can just put them down and come back to them when you need to without too much thought. They are a scrappy and just go with the flow, kind of thing, no pattern or plan, other then the bib template you choose to use.

For those of you who don’t know, I do the occasional local market every now and then with my mum, selling baby and children’s clothing and accessories. This is one of the first things I fell in love with sewing, before I decided to dive into the pattern writing world.

I think babies and children will always be a big inspiration for me, especially now I have my own to sew for.

Here’s a few more snaps of my market stall, it’s a work in progress, but I’m getting it more to my liking and style every time.

And to finish off the day here’s some Monday fabric inspiration. Pretty fabric and brown paper packages, just a few of my favourite things. Those tiny pink cherries though are just gorgeous.

Until next time, Happy Sewing, Kellie X.
