The Strawberry Coin Purse

I have been so busy lately with most of my time taken up with caring for a newborn and a toddler, among many other things, that I almost forgot to tell you about my latest pattern over on Esty, the Strawberry Coin Purse. Juggling everything lately feels a bit like a marathon, but I’m hanging in there and it’s all still managing to happen somehow.

My sewing time has suffered greatly, but it’s amazing what you can do in 10-15 minutes here and there and this is what’s so great about small quick sewing projects, like my Strawberry Coin Purse. It’s a quick a simple pattern that can be made in an hour or in my case, small bursts of 10-15 minutes and still finished in a day.

I love strawberries and zipper pouches, so it was only a matter of time until I came up with a strawberry shaped pouch. This sweet Strawberry Coin Purse Is the perfect gift for a little girl or maybe you know a strawberry loving big girl too. It’s the perfect size to fit a few coins and notes and maybe even a small lip gloss or treat or two.

They fit some sweet sewing supplies too and are the perfect size for small thread snips. I love this pouch so much that I’m even considering making a template for a larger size, which I think would be so much fun.

The best part about this pouch though is there’s no complicated binding on the inside to hide the raw edges. Instead, I use a special yet simple construction technique so there are no raw seams, and no complicated binding. It’s a win-win.
