I’ve been a little MIA lately, but life has been full (in a good way), and I haven’t had as much time for sewing as I would like. One of my favourite things about sewing is making things for my little ones, which is one of the reasons I got into sewing in the first place. I’ve been focusing on making things for them when I get the chance, because before you know it, they grow up. Which believe me happens so fast. I’m still coming to terms with the fact that my oldest is almost 3 soon.

I’ve finished off a pillow and a quilt for my little boy for his bed. A scrappy bear paw quilt, which I made up to fit his toddler bed, with a matching pillow.

I was inspired by a similar applique pillow on Pinterest. So, I made up my own car appliqué and paired it with an appliqué tag personalised with his name.

I love adding extra details in projects, so I added a line of cotton tape with cars on the back. As well as a little car tag on the side of the pillow. Yes, he’s a little boy mad about cars, so the more the better right!?

My little girl is 3 months and has hit that magical drooling stage, so I’ve been busy making bibs for her, which is so much fun. I’ve always been a big fan of Amy Sinibaldi of Nana Company. She was one of my first ever inspirations and still is. I’ve always loved her ruffle baby bib pattern, but never really had a chance to make it.

So, I have finally made one for my little lady, using dusty pink linen and completing it with a tiny appliqué apple on the front using liberty Betsy.
I am so in love and this pattern is so fun, I want to make some more with tiny florals, which hopefully I get to soon.
